Despite being bullied by a group of friends many times, female student Bui Tra M continues to be a victim of a serious school violence that occurred on the evening of July 14 in Pho Hien ward, Hung Yen province.
The incident caused the victim to be hospitalized in a state of multiple injuries and serious mental decline.
On July 17, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Dam Ha - the victim's mother - said that her daughter is still being treated at Hung Yen General Hospital.
According to Ms. Ha, the incident occurred at around 9:00 p.m. on July 14, when her daughter - Bui Tra M (born in 2008, 11th grade student, residing in Tan Sang apartment building, Pho Hien ward) was sitting with her friend at a lemon tea shop near her home.
"There was no conflict before, so the 4 girls suddenly rushed in and assaulted M in a very brutal way. The child had a pull of hair, kicked on the head, in the face, and was dragged onto the street without anyone intervening in time" - Ms. Ha recounted.
A video clip that went viral on social media recorded the entire incident.
The image in the clip shows that although female student M fell to the ground and was no longer able to resist, the group continued to rush in and beat the group with their hands and feet very aggressively. Notably, the victim had previously been assaulted by this group twice, and was even knocked down while riding, injuring M.
The victim's family has repeatedly reported to the local authorities, hoping to promptly prevent school violence, but everything has not been thoroughly handled.
The peak was a serious incident on the evening of July 14, causing M. to suffer multiple injuries, a bruised face, scratches on her body, mental panic and had to be hospitalized for emergency care that night.
"My child has not been able to stabilize his spirit since that day. The child was scared and did not dare to leave the room, his nose was dark purple and still haunted. This is the third time. My family is really tired and heartbroken. I suggest that the authorities must handle it strictly to end this type of assault. "We can't let students go out all the time to be afraid of being beaten" - Ms. Ha shared indignantly.
The family has sent a petition to the police and local child protection organizations. At the same time, many parents in Pho Hien ward also expressed concern about the situation of school violence showing signs of increasing, in which many incidents occurred in public places, and were filmed and posted online, causing offense.
