According to a report by the Department of Education and Training, the whole city has 57,158 candidates registered to take the 2026 high school graduation exam, an increase of 2,121 candidates compared to the 2025 exam. Among the total registered candidates, there are 5,518 students taking the exam for graduation consideration and 1,640 students taking the exam for university and college entrance exam results. To best serve the exam, the city's education sector has arranged 106 exam sites with 2,440 official exam rooms, 106 reserve exam rooms and 138 waiting rooms.
At this year's exam, more than 7,200 officials, civil servants, and public employees were mobilized to participate in the exam supervision work, along with about 1,000 people from the Police, Army, Health, and Electricity forces directly performing the task of coordinating to ensure safety and logistics at the exam sites. Through actual inspection of the exam room system, exam question storage room, exam papers with 24/24 hour surveillance cameras and backup generator systems, city leaders assessed that the preparation work of the units was carried out very proactively and thoughtfully, basically meeting all strict conditions according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
At the exam sites of Nam Sach High School, Hong Quang High School and Nguyen Trai Specialized High School, the Secretary of the City Party Committee and the working delegation inspected the preparation of facilities, security and order assurance plans, health, electricity and water, and high-tech fraud prevention in the exam areas.
Speaking to direct and encourage at the exam sites, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Ngoc Chau acknowledged and praised the efforts of the Department of Education and Training, departments, agencies, and branches of the city, and the school boards in preparing facilities and personnel to serve the exam.
Emphasizing the particularly important meaning of this year's exam, the Secretary of the City Party Committee requested the Exam Council and localities to absolutely not be subjective or negligent in any stage, to closely follow the spirit of the plan and regulations to ensure the exam takes place absolutely safely, publicly, transparently and objectively. The police force needs to closely coordinate with the exam councils to organize reasonable traffic diversion in areas adjacent to the main main road, avoiding congestion and creating the most favorable conditions for candidates and their families to access the exam site on time.
For officials, teachers and invigilators on duty, the Secretary of the City Party Committee noted that it is necessary to continue to review and master the process of handling arising situations, but at the same time, it is necessary to create a comfortable psychology, a light exam room atmosphere, and minimize pressure for students after three years of striving to study under the roof of high school.
