Supporting martyrs in remote areas
During the days of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, the image of free meals carefully prepared for students in remote areas in Lak district spread the warmth and sharing - a bright spot in the mid-term exam season.
Nong Thi Anna, a student of class 12A3 at Nguyen Chi Thanh High School, is one of about 120 candidates who were supported with free accommodation and meals.
From Quang Hoa commune, Krong No district, Dak Nong province, Anna had to travel nearly 50km to get to the exam location at Lak High School.
She and a friend rode a motorbike to the rented place before the official exam day and was surprised that everything had been carefully prepared by Doan Lak District, from clean accommodation to adequate meals.
On the afternoon of June 25, after completing the entrance exam procedures, Anna had her first meal at the kitchen of Lak District Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities.
"The meal was very warm. I feel relieved after the long trip and the pressure of reviewing for the exam," Anna emotionally expressed. I also thank the benefactors for joining hands to help the soldiers in remote areas have a more complete exam.
Similarly, Hoang Ngoc Diem - a student of class 12A4, Nguyen Chi Thanh High School, in Krong No commune, Lak district, could not hide her joy when receiving support for all accommodation expenses during the exam days.
The Diem house is 40km from the exam location, so her mother can only take her to the exam location and then return immediately for work. "At first, I was a bit worried because I didn't have any relatives to accompany me, but thanks to the enthusiastic support of young volunteers, I felt very warm and secure," Diem shared.

Spreading love in the community
To have warm meals for the children, the Lak District Youth Union has proactively planned right before the exam.
The program "Supporting the competition season - accompanying the candidates in 2025" was launched with an open letter to organizations, individuals, and philanthropists to call for support for funding and necessities.
Deputy Secretary of the District Youth Union - Ms. H'Mai Tor said: "We are very happy to receive enthusiastic response from the community. Through the program, the unit has mobilized about 30 million VND to buy fresh food, ensuring the quality of the contestants' nutritious meals".
Not only stopping at mobilizing funds, the District Youth Union also established 3 youth volunteer teams with about 40 young people participating in support at the exam location, kitchen and accommodation.
They not only prepare meals, but also accompany, share, and motivate candidates throughout the important exam.
Although not the first time it has been held, the program leaves a good impression every year. These simple meals not only warm the hearts of students away from home but also deeply express the spirit of mutual love and sharing of the community with future generations.
"That is the invaluable motivation to help them be more confident in overcoming their dances and continuing to write their dreams for their lives" - Deputy Secretary of the District Youth Union - Ms. H'Mai Tor shared.
