Urgently overcome degraded facilities
Through actual inspection at Vuong Huu Nhon Secondary School, Vinh Phu Dong Primary School, Phuoc Long Kindergarten, Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu requested the locality to urgently review and prioritize repairing degraded items, supplementing missing equipment, ensuring conditions for the opening of the 2026-2027 school year.
Surveys show that the facilities between schools are not uniform. Some school sites still lack teaching equipment. Phuoc Long Kindergarten alone has some classrooms built many years ago that have seriously deteriorated, not ensuring safety, so the school has to borrow the headquarters to organize temporary teaching.

According to the report of Phuoc Long Commune People's Committee, the locality has directed educational institutions to clean classrooms, renovate campuses, and supplement essential teaching equipment. Up to now, 6 school sites have completed building new and repairing toilets; a clean drinking water system is being invested, reaching 80% of the volume.
In the new school year, the locality has about 35 students in difficult circumstances, with a high risk of dropping out of school. Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu reminded Phuoc Long to do a good job of mobilization and support, not to let students drop out of school due to family circumstances.
Provincial leaders requested the locality to quickly adapt to the new education management model after arrangement, promote digital transformation in school governance. The Department of Finance is assigned to guide Phuoc Long commune to carry out procedures to apply for investment policy to upgrade Phuoc Long Primary School, and include it in the province's medium-term investment plan.
Schools that still lack equipment and have degraded items must be reviewed and handled immediately, creating a safe and spacious educational environment, ensuring that students have good learning conditions.
