This morning (October 16), Ha Long ward announced and handed over the decision according to the project to reorganize public educational institutions in the area. Accordingly, the ward will merge the following schools: Hong Hai Kindergarten, Hoa Lan Kindergarten, Hoa Hong Kindergarten and 1/6 Kindergarten into Happy Kindergarten; merge Tran Quoc Toan Primary School and Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School into Tran Quoc Toan Primary School; merge Quang Trung Primary School and Le Hong Phong Primary School into Quang Trung Primary School; merge Tran Quoc Toan Secondary School and Hong Hai Secondary School, into Le Hong Phong Secondary School.
In Bai Chay ward, Bai Chay Kindergarten was established on the basis of merging Bai Chay Kindergarten and Hung Thang Kindergarten.
Bai Chay Primary School was established from the merger of Bai Chay Primary School, the primary block of Bai Chay 2 Primary and Secondary School and the primary block of Hung Thang Primary and Secondary School.
Bai Chay Secondary School was established from the merger of Bai Chay Secondary School, the secondary school block of Bai Chay 2 Primary and Secondary School and Hung Thang Primary and Secondary School.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ninh province, up to the time of the merger, the whole province had 638 educational institutions from kindergarten to university (including 56 private schools), with a total of 394,571 children, students, trainees and pupils.
Of which, 520 educational institutions from kindergarten to junior high school are under the management of the People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones; 50 general and continuing education institutions under the Department of Education and Training, including 36 high schools and 14 continuing education centers.
Regarding the arrangement plan, 88 kindergartens will be reduced out of the total of 185 kindergartens currently. The number of primary schools is currently 152, reducing 48 units, while 183 secondary schools will reduce 115 schools.
For the high school block with 36 schools, 4 schools will be arranged to reduce 2 schools.
For the continuing education sector (currently there are 13 Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers and 1 Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center in Quang Ninh province), it will be arranged into one unit.
Thus, according to the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ninh province, the number of public educational institutions in the province will be reduced by about 50%.
