Proposal to reorganize local universities
The People's Committee of Ca Mau province has reported on the plan to arrange public service units and state-owned enterprises in the province.
In the field of education and training, the province has proposed a plan to keep Bac Lieu University in its current state. Continue to build a roadmap to shift from financial autonomy from the current partial self-guarantee for regular expenditures (Group 3) to self-guarantee for regular expenditures (Group 2).
Merge Ca Mau Medical College and Bac Lieu Medical College into Ca Mau Medical College (Group 3). After the merger, a roadmap will be developed to ensure regular expenditure (Group 2).

Merge Vietnam - Korea Ca Mau Vocational College and Bac Lieu Vocational College into Vietnam - Korea Ca Mau Vocational College.
Merge Ca Mau Community College and Bac Lieu College of Economics and Technology into Ca Mau College.
In Ha Tinh, according to the new plan, the province proposes to continue researching the merger of Ha Tinh University into a member university of Hanoi National University or under the new direction of the Ministry of Education and Training.
In Phu Tho province, after the arrangement, this province has 1 university, 1 medical college, 3 vocational colleges in 3 areas that are units that self-insure a part of regular expenditure, reducing 4 colleges.
Specifically, Hoa Binh Pedagogical College will be merged into Hung Vuong University.
Merge Hoa Binh Medical College into Phu Tho Medical College under the Provincial People's Committee, and at the same time, base on the planning approval policy to continue research and construction into the University of Medicine and Pharmacy for the period 2026 - 2030.
Arrange Vinh Phuc College in the direction of: Transferring the health sector to Phu Tho Medical College. Transfer the Pedagogy field to Hung Vuong University.
Merge Vinh Phuc College, including the remaining departments, into Vinh Phuc College of Technology under the Provincial People's Committee.
Proposal to reorganize medical schools
The Ministry of Health has just submitted a plan to reorganize the system of public service units in the entire sector in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Committee on streamlining the organizational apparatus.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Health proposed that a number of hospitals be transferred to practice hospitals for medical universities, such as the Da Nang Orthopedic - Rehabilitation Hospital transferred to Da Nang University of Medicine and Pharmacy Technology; Hospital 71 Central and the Central Rehabilitation Nursing Hospital transferred to Hanoi Medical University.
The medical training block continues to be maintained but has been adjusted to increase connectivity and streamline the network.
Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy will receive Hai Duong University of Medical Technology, while Hai Duong Central College of Pharmacy will merge into Hanoi University of Pharmacy. Key universities such as Hanoi Medical University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Nam Dinh University of Nursing are still under the Ministry of Health.
