According to the above regulations, on New Year's Day 2025, students will have 1 day off (Wednesday, January 1, 2025).
As for the Lunar New Year 2025, the holiday schedule for students is regulated differently depending on each locality. Below is detailed information about the Lunar New Year 2025 holiday schedule for students in some provinces and cities:
1. Kon Tum
Kon Tum students will have Tet holiday starting from January 24, 2025 (December 25, Giap Thin year) to February 7, 2025 (January 10, At Ty year).
Because 7.2 is Friday, students in this province have two more days off on the weekend. Thus, the Lunar New Year holiday schedule for students in this province is a total of 17 days.
2. Yen Bai
According to the 2024-2025 school year schedule, Yen Bai students will have 14 days off for Tet, from January 22, 2025 to February 4, 2025 (from December 23, Giap Thin year to January 7, At Ty year).
3. Lao Cai
In Lao Cai, preschools, general education and continuing education facilities will be closed from January 24, 2025 to February 6, 2025 (ie from December 25, Giap Thin year to January 9, At Ty year).
4. Binh Phuoc
Binh Phuoc students will have Tet holiday from January 20 to February 2, 2025 (December 21 to January 5).
5. Tra Vinh
Tra Vinh students will have Tet holiday from January 20 to February 2, 2025 (December 21 to January 5).
6. Tay Ninh
Tay Ninh students have Tet holiday from January 22 to February 4, 2025 (December 23 to January 7).
7. Quang Ninh
Quang Ninh stipulates that the Lunar New Year holiday will last 13 days, from January 27, 2025 (Monday, December 28) to February 8, 2025 (January 11).
8. Ba Ria - Vung Tau
In Ba Ria-Vung Tau, schools will be off for Lunar New Year from January 25, 2025 (December 26, year of the Dragon) to February 6, 2025 (January 9, year of the Snake).
9. Can Tho
Can Tho students will have Tet holiday starting from January 22, 2025 (December 23, year of Giap Thin) to February 2, 2025 (January 5, year of At Ty).
10. Dak Nong
Dak Nong students have Tet holiday from January 25 to February 5, 2025 (December 26 to January 8).
11. Gia Lai
Tet holiday schedule for Gia Lai students from January 25 to February 5, 2025 (December 26 to January 8).
12. HCMC
Students of preschool, general education and continuing education in Ho Chi Minh City will have Tet holiday from January 23 to February 2, 2025 (December 24 of the year of Giap Ty to January 5 of the year of At Ty). Thus, the total number of Tet holidays for students in Ho Chi Minh City is 11 days, an increase of 2 days compared to the previously announced plan.
In previous school years, students in Ho Chi Minh City often had 12-16 days off.
13. Ha Tinh
Lunar New Year 2025 holiday schedule for Ha Tinh students from January 25 to February 4, 2025 (December 26 to January 7).
14. Long An
Long An students have Tet holiday from January 24 to February 2, 2025 (December 25 to January 5).
15. Hanoi
According to the 2024-2025 school year schedule of Hanoi, holidays and Tet holidays during the school year will be implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guidelines. Currently, schools are still waiting for the plan of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to announce the Tet holiday time for students.
