These days, the study schedule of many students is almost full from morning to night. In addition to the regular school hours, they also participate in many extra classes, practice exam questions, review specialized subjects and study on their own until late at night.

Pham Nguyen Anh Khoi, a student of Nguyen Du Secondary School, wished to enter the specialized Chemistry class of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted and Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted. He registered additional wishes, usually successively to Bui Thi Xuan High School, Luong The Vinh High School and Ten Lo Man High School. This is a group of schools that often have high benchmark scores for many years.
To prepare for the exam, Khoi maintains a dense schedule from the beginning of the second semester. In addition to studying at school, he participates in many extra classes in Math, Literature, English and Specialized Chemistry. Some days he gets home at 9 pm.
Sometimes I'm also tired, but if I want to get into a good school, I have to try to study. I think this is an important stage, so I have to try harder," Khoi shared.
The pressure is even greater when the competition rate for specialized schools is still high. Many students said that continuously practicing exam questions, moving between extra classes and self-study significantly reduces rest time.
Similarly, Vu Dang Khoa set a goal to enter the specialized Physics class of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted and Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted. The male student also registered additional regular aspirations for Bui Thi Xuan High School.
To prepare for the exam, Khoa maintained a nearly full-day study schedule. After official classes, he continued to study Math, Literature, English and specialized Physics until about 8:30 pm - 9 pm before returning home. In the evening, the male student continued to solve problems and timing like a real exam to practice skills and exam psychology.
For nearly 2 months now, I have solved more questions to get used to the exam room pressure, to see where I am wrong and then correct it. Some days I study until almost 12 pm," Khoa said.
According to Khoa, in the early days, the study schedule made her quite tired and overwhelmed, but she had to gradually adapt because she wanted to increase her chances of passing specialized schools.
I know that if I only study at school, the knowledge may not be enough to take the specialized exam. I want to enter an environment that is suitable for myself and has better learning conditions," the male student shared.
Meanwhile, student Doan Gia Han chose to register for both regular, integrated and specialized systems to increase her chances of being admitted to the desired schools. The female student placed her wish for the English specialized class (Project 5695) at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted and Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, and also registered for the regular system at the Practical High School - University of Pedagogy.
Gia Han said that in addition to studying at school, she also maintains an online study schedule with the center in the evening and directly studying on weekends.
Sometimes I'm also tired and want to give up, but thinking this is my future, I have to try to continue," Gia Han shared.
