On September 7, a leader of the Department of Education Quality Management, Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh province said that the incident related to candidates H.P. N. and N.T. T. N. at the Luong Tai High School exam site has been handled according to the high school graduation exam regulations.
According to the verification results of functional agencies, during the Math exam, candidate H.P. N. received the support of invigilator No. 2. Candidate N.T. T. N. sat near H.P. N. and copied this candidate's Math exam paper.
H.P. N's exam results were canceled, and N.T. T. N's Math exam score was deducted 50%," said the leader of the Department of Education Quality Management.
The Math exam score of candidate N.T. T. N was deducted from 9.5 points to 4.75 points.
Previously, on August 25, as Lao Dong newspaper reported, the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh province issued a decision to cancel the exam results for candidate H.P. N., at the Luong Tai High School exam site, due to violating the graduation exam regulations.
Regarding the right to take the exam next year, the leader of the Department of Education Quality Management, Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh province said that the decision to cancel the exam results only applies to the current exam. Candidate H.P. N. is still eligible to register for a re-exam next year if she wishes to.
For invigilators related to the incident, functional agencies will consider and handle them according to regulations.
Previously, a reflection related to the high school graduation exam results of candidate H.P. N. appeared on social networks, at the exam site of Luong Tai High School, Bac Ninh province. This candidate is the daughter of Mr. H.D. L., Vice Principal of Luong Tai High School.
The content reflected on social networks said that Mr. H.D. L. arranged for the invigilator to assist in solving math and English questions for his daughter during the exam. Information on social networks also stated that candidate H.P. N, who achieved a perfect score in Math, and candidate N.T. T. N sitting next to him were said to have copied this candidate's paper, achieving 9.5 points.
The above results helped H.P. N become the valedictorian of block D01 of Bac Ninh province. After reflections appeared on social networks, the police agency intervened to verify.
