Ho Chi Minh City University of Education said that this year's specialized competency assessment exam (H-SCA) will have about more than 12,000 candidates taking the exam in the first and second phases; about more than 7,000 candidates taking the exam in the third phase.
Round 1, candidates will register for the exam from February 24 to March 14. The exam will take place over four days, from January 3 to April 6 in Ho Chi Minh City, Gia Lai, Da Nang, Can Tho. The results were announced on April 18.
Round 2, candidates registered from April 20 to May 10, the exam will take place from May 22 to 25 in Ho Chi Minh City, Long An, Hue, Dak Lak. The results were announced on June 6.
Round 3, candidates registered for the exam from June 8 to June 28, the exam will take place over three days, from July 8 to 10, in Ho Chi Minh City. The results will be announced on July 18.
The exam is organized in the subjects of Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature and English. Candidates can choose to register for one or more of the above subjects to register for admission to majors that apply the admission method using the results of the Specialized Competency Assessment Exam according to the 2025 admission plan of the school and schools using the exam results.
Of which, the registration fee for the subjects of Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology is 250,000 VND; Literature is 400,000 VND and English is 700,000 VND.
The contestants are 11th and 12th grade students or individuals who wish to learn about the exam or exam. Candidates register for the exam and pay the registration fee online.
Previously, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education announced the sample exam questions for the subjects. The school said that the exam will closely follow the 2018 general education program, the knowledge of grade 12 accounts for about 70-80%, the rest is knowledge of grades 10 and 11. Students do research on a computer, each subject has 90 minutes.
It is expected that 8 other schools will use this exam score for admission, including: Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, Hanoi National University of Education, Hanoi National University of Education 2, pedagogical schools under Thai Nguyen University, Hue University, Da Nang University, Vinh University and Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
