On the afternoon of April 28, the Bac Lieu Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education awarded 2,000 scholarships worth a total of 3 billion VND from the Vo Van Kiet Education Promotion Fund to students in difficult circumstances, orphans and mothers; severely disabled; children of victims of Agent Orange; children of war invalids, martyrs, grandchildren of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers... Each scholarship is worth 1.5 million VND.
Of these 3 billion VND, there was a direct mobilization of 1 billion VND by Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thieu.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thieu emphasized that only the path to school, the path of knowledge can escape difficulties and poverty in life. Bac Lieu provincial leaders always pay attention to policy families through specific programs.
The Chairman of Bac Lieu also suggested that the Association for Promoting Education accompany disadvantaged children so that no one can go to school because of too much difficulty; sponsors accompany Bac Lieu province through the Association for Promoting Education so that the learning movement and learning society can be expanded.
