On the morning of March 11, a working delegation of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army led by Senior Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, inspected the planning for the establishment of the Military Junior School in the Central region in Quang Phu ward, Da Nang city. The delegation included Major General Phan Dai Nghia, Deputy Commander cum Chief of Staff of Military Region 5, along with representatives of functional agencies of the General Staff and Military Region 5.
The Military School of the Central Region is oriented to be built to serve the task of education, training and creating a long-term cadre source for the Army. The school performs the function of nurturing, educating and training young people to meet the standards of political qualities, ethics, health and academic level. Thereby contributing to the formation of a quality human resource, serving the task of building and protecting the Fatherland.
According to the training orientation, the school organizes the teaching of the secondary and high school cultural program according to the program of the Ministry of Education and Training. In parallel with the cultural program, students are educated in politics, military training, physical training and building style and discipline according to the military environment.
The main enrollment targets are children of ethnic minorities, children of policy families, families with meritorious services to the revolution and students in difficult circumstances across the country. The training model aims to discover and nurture students with qualities, creating a source of successor cadres for the Army in the future.
After listening to the report and on-site inspection of the planned area, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son highly appreciated the proactiveness of Military Region 5 and related agencies in the preparation work. Senior Lieutenant General emphasized that the establishment of the Military Region Central Military School is of great significance in the strategy of training young human resources for the Army, and at the same time opens up opportunities for learning and training for students in remote, isolated, and ethnic minority areas.
When the school goes into operation, it will contribute to building a contingent of Army officers with firm political bravery, comprehensive qualifications, meeting the requirements of building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Vietnam People's Army in the new period.
