Military Region 5 hands over 610 houses in Quang Trung Campaign

Military Region 5 has completed and handed over 610/610 houses, ending the "Quang Trung Campaign" in housing construction undertaken by the Army.

On the morning of January 10, in Hoa Hiep ward, Dak Lak province, Military Region 5 coordinated with Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee to organize the inauguration and handover ceremony of 229 houses to households whose houses were completely collapsed due to natural disasters.

Major General Tran Thanh Hai - Deputy Commander of Military Region 5 attended and spoke at the ceremony.

According to Military Region 5, the house construction process took place in urgent time conditions and unfavorable weather.

However, with a high sense of responsibility, close coordination between military forces and local authorities, thousands of working days have been mobilized. At times, units organize construction even at night to ensure progress.

The houses are built solidly, with flood shelters, meeting safety requirements during the rainy and storm season, contributing to helping people stabilize their long-term lives in areas frequently affected by natural disasters.

Receiving the house handover in this phase, Ms. Truong Thi Thieu emotionally shared: "Having a new house before Tet is something I have never dared to think of. Thanks to the attention of the soldiers of Military Region 5 and authorities at all levels, my family has had a solid home like today.

Not only new construction, Military Region 5 also organized the repair and overcoming of 314 damaged houses in the area, completing ahead of schedule compared to the time assigned by the Prime Minister.

On this occasion, Military Region 5 and local authorities also presented many meaningful gifts, encouraging families to soon stabilize their lives and feel secure in labor and production.

Major General Tran Thanh Hai emphasized that the construction and handover of houses to households affected by natural disasters is an activity to concretize the Party and State's policy in quickly deploying the "Quang Trung Campaign" launched by the Prime Minister. This is not only an activity with profound humanistic meaning but also demonstrates the spirit of solidarity, military-civilian affection; affirming the good nature of the Vietnam People's Army.

Also on the morning of January 10, the Military Region 5 Command coordinated with the People's Committees of Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Quang Ngai, Da Nang City provinces and units of the Ministry of National Defense stationed in the area to officially hand over phase 2 with 435 houses to households in the Military Region.

Thus, after 2 phases of deployment, Military Region 5 has completed and handed over 610/610 houses, ending the "Quang Trung Campaign" in housing construction undertaken by the Army, contributing to helping people in disaster-stricken areas welcome the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 warmly, safely, and with military-civilian affection.
