The National Election Council has just announced the list of people elected as National Assembly deputies of the 16th term.
At constituency No. 2 of Dien Bien province, teacher Ly Mi Le (born 2001, Si La ethnicity, currently working at Huoi Lech Kindergarten, Muong Toong commune) was just elected as a delegate to the 16th National Assembly. At the age of 25, she is one of the youngest delegates.
Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, teacher Ly Mi Le said: "Becoming a National Assembly deputy is not only a personal mark, but also a joy and pride of the Si La people.
This is a responsibility that the people have trusted and entrusted. At the age of 25, I tell myself that I must strive to study and train continuously to be worthy of the trust of voters.
Directly teaching at one of the most difficult schools in Muong Toong commune, she understands the barriers to literacy and the material deprivation that people in the highlands are facing.

National Assembly Deputy Ly Mi Le said that he is interested in closely following the reality of the lives of workers and ethnic minorities.
She will propose to the National Assembly and the Government to increase allowances for attracting and supporting public housing so that teachers can feel secure in staying in their villages, "considering schools as homes, and considering students as their own children".
At the same time, proposing to remove temporary classrooms, invest in clean water projects, semi-boarding kitchens and increase lunch support for preschool children in particularly difficult areas.
The female delegate set a goal to promote literacy classes for women in mountainous areas, equip them with knowledge of family care and violence prevention. In particular, propose legal solutions and promote propaganda to prevent early marriage and consanguineous marriage.
Ly Mi Le is committed to sticking to the grassroots level, listening to voters' thoughts from village meetings to field trips. All feedback on the effectiveness of national target programs will be conveyed truthfully and promptly.
She affirmed that she will always maintain a simple lifestyle, close to the people and forever be a "model teacher", dedicated to the profession and responsible to the community.
As a child of the Si La ethnic group, one of the ethnic groups with a very small population in Vietnam, the problem of preserving identity is always present in the young teacher's mind.
According to delegate Ly Mi Le, in order for people to catch up with the general development momentum without being dissolved, it is necessary to apply science and technology to agricultural production and boldly eliminate outdated customs.
But at the same time, it is necessary to maintain Si La language and writing classes for children, and encourage wearing traditional costumes.
She aims to develop cultural experience tourism, turning unique features such as weaving, traditional dances and singing into sustainable livelihoods for people.
In a small house, young delegate Ly Mi Le and her mother are completing the traditional costume of the Si La ethnic group. This will be a special baggage that the 25-year-old girl will wear on the opening day of the first session of the 16th National Assembly.
