According to the Resolution announcing the official list of candidates for the 16th National Assembly, in Dien Bien there are 3 constituencies and 13 candidates to elect 7 National Assembly deputies. Notably, in constituency No. 2, 3/4 of the candidates are preschool teachers.
Teacher Ly Mi Le (born 2001, Si La ethnicity, teacher at Huoi Lech Kindergarten, Muong Toong commune). Ms. Le graduated from a College majoring in Preschool Education, joined the Party in December 2024. According to the reporter's investigation, the female teacher is currently working at Cay Sat school branch (over 70 students, mainly Mong ethnicity), belonging to Huoi Lech Kindergarten.
Talking by phone with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, teacher Le said: "Working in the locality still faces many difficulties, when participating in the election, I pay special attention to the field of education, ethnic minority policies and policies to care more practically for the lives of women and children in border areas.

In constituency No. 2, there is also teacher Hu Thi Duy (born in 1994, Cong ethnicity, teacher at Nam Ke Kindergarten, Nam Ke commune), with a university degree in Preschool Education and admitted to the Party in January 2021.
Currently, teacher Duy is on maternity leave and is expected to return to teaching next April.
Recalling the time before maternity leave, she worked at Huoi Thanh school point cluster 1 (more than 20 students, mainly children of the San Chi ethnic group), about 8 km from the central school point.
When participating in the election, Ms. Duy hoped to send to the National Assembly relevant recommendations on education.
Especially, there are timely support policies for teachers working in special and difficult areas. At the same time, pay more attention to students in remote and isolated areas, where they go to school" - Ms. Duy said.
The 3rd female teacher to run for National Assembly deputy in constituency No. 2 is Ms. Lung Thi Nga (born in 1996, Cong ethnicity, teacher at Quang Lam Kindergarten, Quang Lam commune). Ms. Nga has a university degree in Preschool Education and was admitted to the Party in June 2024.
Like Ms. Duy, Ms. Nga just gave birth half a month ago, and plans to go back to work in the new school year to continue to be attached to the job of "cultivating people" in a locality mainly inhabited by the Mong ethnic group.
Talking to reporters, Ms. Nga said: "If I am trusted and voted by voters, I want to contribute a strong and substantive voice to the sustainable development of the locality.

Regarding education, Ms. Nga expects to promote priority policies for highland areas and ethnic minority areas such as investing in facilities, boarding houses; improving the quality of teachers; supporting disadvantaged students so that "no child has to drop out of school because of poverty".
The female teacher also hopes that the National Assembly will pay more attention to transport infrastructure in the westernmost part of the country, develop clean agriculture, historical and ecological tourism associated with the value of the heroic land; thereby attracting investment, creating jobs and improving people's lives.
Constituent unit No. 2 includes communes and wards: Muong Lay, Sin Thau, Muong Nhe, Muong Toong, Nam Ke, Quang Lam, Muong Cha, Na Hy, Na Bung, Si Pa Phin, Cha To, Muong Tung, Pa Ham, Na Sang, Nam Nen, Muong Pon. Number of National Assembly deputies elected 2 people; number of candidates 4 people.
