Right next to the old school that is still operating, a school project with a total investment of about 70 billion VND is forming the first items, becoming a highlight of educational infrastructure in the border area.
According to reporters' records, after being handed over a clean site from November 2025, the contractor has urgently deployed construction.
At the construction site, machinery is operating continuously, workers work in many shifts, taking advantage of each favorable time of the highland weather to speed up progress.
Through observation, the first items of the project have completed the foundation, many building blocks are constructing the body structure. Concrete pillars are gradually rising in the hilly area, showing the appearance of a modern school that is gradually taking shape.
According to research, the Muong Khuong High School No. 1 project has just been invested in construction with a synchronous scale, including classroom blocks, administration areas...
When completed, the project will better meet the learning needs of students in the area, and at the same time create a spacious and modern educational environment for children in border areas.
On January 29, in an exchange with reporters, Mr. Hoang Cung Son - Project Commander - said that the construction unit is mobilizing 3 construction teams, including 2 structural construction teams and 1 infrastructure construction team.
We are focusing maximum manpower and machinery to accelerate progress. The goal is to complete the 3rd floor floor of the administration building and classroom blocks before the Lunar New Year, striving to hand over the project before September 2026," Mr. Son said.
Along with the contractor, the investor also regularly monitors the progress, promptly removing difficulties arising during construction.
Mr. Phan Van Vinh - Official of Project Department 3, Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that from now until Tet Nguyen Dan, the unit requests the contractor to focus on completing the roof and floor of the 3rd floor of 2 blocks of classroom buildings and the administration block.
Teams are mobilizing about 80 workers to work urgently according to the 3-shift, 4-shift model, including night shifts to ensure progress. After the Lunar New Year, the contractor will continue to increase manpower, setting a goal to complete the entire project before August 30," Mr. Vinh said.
Muong Khuong is a border area with many difficulties, the investment in building the new Muong Khuong High School No. 1 not only contributes to solving the situation of overload and degradation but also creates motivation to improve the quality of education, helping local students have better learning conditions right in their hometown.
