The International IMC Mathematics Competition is held annually, alternately in member countries for excellent Math students from more than 40 countries and territories around the world. This is one of the most prestigious international math exams for junior high school students.
At the same time, it is also a useful international playground, creating opportunities for Math talents from many countries to compete and develop their abilities in Mathematics, establish an academic environment, promote creativity, and develop research.
The 25th International Mathematical Competition - VIMC 2025 is held in Da Nang city, the Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee established a Steering Committee headed by Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.
The Director of the Department of Education and Training has also established an Organizing Committee and 7 Subcommittees to organize the 25th International Mathematical Competition - VIMC 2025, assisting the City Steering Committee in directing and inspecting the implementation in accordance with the Exam Organizing Plan issued by the City People's Committee.
Up to now, the Department of Education and Training has presided over and coordinated with relevant departments, branches and sectors, Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology and IEG Toan Cau Joint Stock Company to organize the exam, the responsible subcommittees are actively implementing preparations to ensure the exam is successful, creating a good impression on Da Nang city in particular and Vietnam in general with international friends.
At the 25th International Mathematical Competition - VIMC 2025, in addition to the host delegation of Vietnam, there are also participants from 30 countries and territories, with an expected number of 526 contestants, 181 teachers, and 100 international guests.
The contestants include: Key Stage II: students in grades 5 - 6 for the 2024-2025 school year; Key Stage III: students in grades 7 - 8 for the 2024-2025 school year; The exam includes: individual round and team round.
The contest consists of 2 rounds: individual and team, taking place at Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology (VKU), Danang University - 470 Tran Dai Nghia, Ngu Hanh Son Ward, Da Nang City.
