Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City - Mr. Tran Anh Tuan has just directly inspected the construction locations in Hung Son, Tay Giang and A Vuong communes.
In Tay Giang commune, the project will build a new boarding school for primary and secondary schools in Ahu village, with an estimated cost of 100 billion VND, meeting the needs of more than 600 students. The plan here includes the construction of new classrooms, dining rooms, playgrounds and blocks for boarding activities.
In A Vuong commune, the city will establish an inter-level boarding school on the basis of merging the boarding vocational schools of Bally Primary School, A Vuong Primary School and Nguyen Ba Ngoc Secondary School. The main school is expected to be located at TH balanele Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Azedut village) after being renovated and upgraded.
In Hung Son commune, the locality also proposed to build a new boarding school for more than 500 students. Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan suggested choosing a location at the headquarters of the old Tr'hy Commune People's Committee for construction.
During the inspection, Mr. Tran Anh Tuan emphasized that safety factors must be given top priority, construction locations must avoid areas at risk of landslides. Mr. Tuan also requested the communes to immediately review the number of students, the current status of facilities and quickly resolve problems related to land and site clearance. The Department of Construction, the Department of Education and Training and related departments are assigned the task of closely coordinating with the locality to ensure the project is on schedule and of good quality.
Implementing Conclusion No. 81 of the Politburo, Da Nang has proactively developed a roadmap for implementing inter-level boarding schools in border communes. In the period of 20242026, 6 schools will be built in 6 land border communes, including A Vuong, Tay Giang and Hung Son communes (formerly in the mountainous district of Tay Giang, Quang Nam province) along with Dac Pring, La De and La Ee (formerly in the mountainous district of Nam Giang, Quang Nam province).
The total estimated investment is about 740 billion VND, mobilized from the state budget combined with socialized resources. The schools will be completed before August 30, 2026, and put into operation in time for the new school year 2026-2027.
Each project has an area of 6,700m2 to 15,000m2, serving a scale of 300 to more than 600 boarding students. Phase 1 of the project will focus on implementation in the 2025-2026 school year in 3 communes: La Ai, Dac Pring and Hung Son with a total cost of more than 400 billion VND.
