On the morning of May 17, at Da Nang University of Science and Technology - Da Nang University, the Science and Technology, Startup and Innovation Day (BKĐN 2026) took place. The event is not only a place to honor research achievements, but also a space to connect reality between academia and market needs, creating a sustainable innovation ecosystem.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu - Rector of Hanoi University of Science and Technology affirmed: "In the era of the knowledge economy and digital transformation, scientific knowledge is the key to shaping the future. With the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthrough development of science, technology, and innovation, the school identifies students as the pioneering force, the owner of highly applicable technology solutions".
This year's festival has nearly 500 scientific research topics of students; 128 practical models are presented at exhibition booths. In addition, at the "Start-up in Students - BK SHARK 2026" competition, there is also the participation of 35 best teams from universities in the area.
On this occasion, Da Nang University of Science and Technology approved policies to increase the research funding fund for each topic 3 times compared to 2022, and at the same time promote the model of students doing graduation projects directly at enterprises.
According to Da Nang University of Science and Technology, the Science and Technology, Startup and Innovation Festival (BKĐN 2026) also has high school students. Students are not only guests, but also directly present research topics, visit modern laboratories. This helps to arouse the passion for science and technology for students even when they are still in high school, opening up a roadmap for complete educational connection.
Science has no age limit, and dreams are never too early to start," Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu advised young people.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology has also awarded a series of prizes to individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements in scientific and technological research activities and potential startup projects.
