The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued a decision on the appointment of Prof. Dr. Meritorious Teacher Le Anh Tuan to hold the position of Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
Prof. Dr. Le Anh Tuan was born in 1975, native of Ha Tinh province. He is a former student of course 37 of the Dynamics Mechanical major at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. After graduating with honors, he was kept as a teaching staff at the Mechanical School from 1997. He completed his doctoral research program at Graz University of Technology, Austrian Republic in the period 2002-2005.

He was appointed to the title of associate professor in 2009 and professor in 2017. With a high level of political expertise, he held many important leadership positions at the school including: Head of Department, Director of Centralized Investment Laboratory, Director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering.
The period 2016 - 2025 recorded his contributions to university governance with the roles of: Secretary of the University Council, Vice President and Chairman of the University Council.
Currently, he is holding the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
The new Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology is an influential scientist in the fields of Mechanical Engineering - Driving, Automotive and Self-driving Vehicles, Renewable Energy and Alternative Fuels. His scientific achievements are reflected in the fact that he is the editor-in-chief and co-author of 7 books, owns 2 intellectual property patents and published over 150 articles in prestigious journals. His H-Index reached 32 on Google Scholar and 29 on Scopus.
In addition to working at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Professor Le Anh Tuan also holds many important social and professional responsibilities: Member of the Working Group assisting the Prime Minister in science, technology, innovation, digital transformation and Project 06; Member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City; Vice Chairman of the Interdisciplinary Professor Council of Mechanical Engineering - Engines; Member of the Global Electric Vehicle Network (GEAN).
