Hanoi University of Science and Technology on the morning of February 25 announced enrollment information for 2026.
Accordingly, Hanoi University of Science and Technology is expected to enroll 9,880 students for 68 training programs, including 5 new training programs including: Cosmetic Chemistry; Accounting; Computational Science for Intelligent Systems; Industrial and Organizational Psychology; Korean S&T.
The 3 admission methods of Hanoi University of Science and Technology this year are: Talent admission (XTTN); Admission based on thinking assessment (ĐGTD) exam scores; Admission based on high school graduation exam scores (THPT).
The talent selection method includes: Direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; Admission based on international certificates; Admission based on competency profile combined with interview.
Candidates eligible for international certificate admission need to have a general average score of each cultural subject in grades 10, 11, 12 reaching 8 or higher on a scale of 10; Have at least 1 of the following valid international certificates: SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, IB. For international certificates with subject component scores assessed according to the system of letters, the scale converted to scores on a scale of 10 as follows:

Candidates applying for admission based on competency profiles combined with interviews must ensure high school graduation in 2026, have a general average score of cultural subjects each school year in grades 10, 11, 12 reaching 8 or higher on a scale of 10 and meet one of the following conditions:
Winning prizes in the national excellent student selection exam organized by the Ministry of Education and Training or the provincial/city-level excellent student selection exam organized by the Departments of Education and Training, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue University, Hanoi National University of Education, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, Vinh University, Viet Bac Highland High School, and issuing certificates for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, and Foreign Languages during high school.
Winning the Third Prize or higher in the Science and Technology competition organized by the Department of Education and Training or the Ministry of Education and Training to be selected to participate in ViSEF and ISEF;
Being selected to participate in the Road to Olympia Peak competition organized by Vietnam Television from the monthly round onwards;
Specialized students in all 3 years of study in grades 10, 11, 12 (including specialized Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Foreign Languages) of high schools and specialized high schools nationwide, specialized classes, specialized systems belonging to Universities, National Universities, and Regional Universities.
Regulations on scoring candidates' capacity profiles: The capacity profile score (HSNL) of candidates is calculated as follows (maximum 100 points):
HSNL score = Thinking score + Achievement score + Bonus points
In which:
Thinking score (maximum 40 points): Calculated based on the candidate's thinking assessment test score in 2025 or 2026 and calculated according to the formula TSA score x 40/60.
Achievement score (maximum 50 points): Calculated based on the total scores of valid achievements that candidates have achieved and declared on the system.
Bonus points (maximum 10 points): Calculated for other achievements in academics and scientific research that are not included in the achievement points; Foreign language certificates; Prizes in culture, arts, sports (prizes in literature - sports - beauty); Commendations for social activities, volunteering for the community declared validly by candidates on the system.
With the admission method based on the 2026 high school graduation exam scores, Hanoi University of Science and Technology applies 8 admission combinations and the following main subjects: K01, A00, A01, B00, D01, D04, D07 and DD2.
The formula for calculating admission scores for the K01 combination is as follows: [Math x 3 + Literature x 1 + Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Informatics x 2] x 1/2.
The admission floor score will be announced later by Hanoi University of Science and Technology.



Candidates with foreign language certificates (VSTEP English certificates, international English certificates or other equivalent foreign language certificates), registered for verification on the system of Hanoi University of Science and Technology can convert to English subject scores when considering admission based on high school graduation exam scores (combination A01, D01, D07) and bonus points when considering admission according to the XTTN method (areas 1. 2, 1. 3) and considering admission based on DGTD exam scores.
For candidates registering for admission to English-taught programs, FL1 (English for Science and Technology), FL3 (Chinese for Science and Technology) and FL4 (Korean for Science and Technology) programs, in addition to the necessary conditions (according to admission methods), candidates need to meet one of the following conditions regarding English or equivalent foreign language proficiency.
