Hanoi University of Science and Technology opens registration for the first thinking assessment test in 2026

On the morning of December 4, Hanoi University of Science and Technology informed about the opening time for registration in the first round of the thinking assessment test in 2026.

Accordingly, the registration opening time is from 9:00 a.m. on December 5 to 5:00 p.m. on December 15, with an expected number of 25,000 candidates. The official exam date is January 24-25, 2026.

Specifically, the 2026 thinking assessment test schedule is as follows:

Round 1: Exam date 24-25.1.2026; registration date 5-15.12.

Round 2: Exam date 14-15.3.2026; registration date 5-15.2.2026.

Round 3: Exam date 16-17, 2026; registration date 5-15, April 2026.

The exams will be held on weekends, each session has 3-4 teams at 30 exam locations, meeting about 60,000 exams.

The exam took place in 11 clusters across provinces and cities, including: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thai Nguyen, Tay Bac, Da Nang.

In 2026, the thinking assessment test of Hanoi University of Science and Technology is expected to be held in 3 rounds on weekends, each round will have 3-4 test teams at 30 test sites, meeting about 60,000 candidates taking the exam.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that in order to comply with the new general education program of the Ministry of Education and Training, the content and form of the thinking assessment test have been implemented according to the design and kept stable for many years to come.

These are 3 independent test parts, the test questions will focus on assessing the thinking ability of candidates in each part, not directly testing knowledge of any subject. The multiple-choice test is on the computer, the test results will be valid for 2 years to serve the university admission work.

With the aim of helping candidates better understand the structure and content of the Thinking Assessment Test, get acquainted with the types of questions, review instructions, test-taking methods, and analyzing illustrative examples, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has compiled and published the book "TSA Thinking Assessment Test Handbook".
