Many universities are promoting international training cooperation, expanding linkage and exchange programs, helping students access an international education environment.

Promoting international cooperation

In the context of higher education promoting integration, many universities in Vietnam are accelerating the expansion of international cooperation through joint training programs, student exchange, scientific research and technology transfer.

This trend not only helps learners access training programs, teaching methods and international learning environments right in the country, but is also considered one of the solutions to improve the quality of human resources in the new period.

Resolution 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development also sets the goal of bringing Vietnam's higher education closer to regional and international standards.

According to the orientation of the Ministry of Education and Training, by 2030, Vietnam strives to have over 20% of training programs linked with universities in the top 500 universities in the world, and at the same time develop more foreign university branches in Vietnam.

Currently, Vietnam has hundreds of joint training programs with partners from more than 50 countries. Popular models include 2+2, 3+1, same degrees or studying entirely domestically according to international programs.

Dr. Vu Van Ngoc, Director of the Institute for Advanced and High-Quality Training and POHE, National Economics University, said that international liên kết programs are suitable for groups of students with foreign language skills and certain financial conditions.

According to Mr. Ngoc, when participating in these programs, students have the opportunity to access foreign lecturers, a multicultural learning environment and new training methods. In addition to professional knowledge, learners also enhance their foreign language skills and international environment adaptation skills.

International linkage programs currently have many different options. The important thing is that learners need to consider their suitability with their abilities, family conditions and career orientation" - Mr. Ngoc said.

In addition to expanding training cooperation, many universities are also aiming for cooperation in research, technology transfer and business connection.

Expanding learning opportunities for students

At CMC University, recently, the school expanded cooperation with many reputable partners in China such as Hanoi National University of Education, Shenzhen Shenghua School (Tsinghua SIGS), and Jilin University of Foreign Languages.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Rector of CMC University, said that not only stopping at signed agreements, international cooperation is being implemented in a substantive direction.

Students will study the first two years at CMC University to build a language foundation, soft skills and international integration capacity. The next two years, they will move to study at Hanoi National University of Education (Beijing, China), experience a training environment entirely in Chinese, access to international academic systems and internship and research opportunities in China.

When completing the program, students receive dual bachelor's degrees issued by both CMC University and Hanoi National University of Education, recognized by many countries around the world.

Mr. Tung said that students not only study in class but are also required to participate in internships, practical projects and research - application activities in the international environment, both in Vietnam and China. This is a key factor to ensure that learners not only meet academic standards but also meet professional standards and working capacity in the cross-border context.

To be eligible for transfer or graduation, students must fully meet the academic standards and competency standards agreed upon by both parties, with absolutely no exceptions or "extensions" for any reason.

We consistently believe in one point: The value of international cooperation is not in form or name, but is measured by the practical capacity of learners. When students can work effectively in a global environment, adapt quickly to international standards and create value in the business, that is the highest measure of the training quality of CMC University" - Mr. Tung said.
