On July 7, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, began the external evaluation of 4 doctor training programs according to the standards of the Southeast Asian University Network (AUN-QA). The evaluation period takes place from July 7 to 9.
Accordingly, 4 programs are evaluated including: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Odonto-Stomatology, Doctor of Preventive Medicine and Doctor of Traditional Medicine.
The assessment team includes international experts from AUN-QA, with experience in accreditation and quality assurance of higher education.
During the working time, the expert delegation will study the school's self-assessment report; interview leaders, management staff, lecturers, students, alumni, employers and related units. At the same time, the delegation will survey facilities, practice and internship systems, and training quality assurance work.
According to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, participating in AUN-QA accreditation demonstrates a commitment to improve training quality in the direction of putting learners at the center, meeting the requirements of society and integrating with higher education in the ASEAN region as well as internationally.
Through the assessment, the school will comprehensively review training programs, promote strengths, overcome limitations to continue improving the quality of training, scientific research and serving the community.
The evaluation results are also expected to contribute to enhancing the prestige, brand and competitiveness of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University in the context of increasingly integrated higher education.
The school said it will continue to expand the accreditation of training programs according to national and international standards, aiming to build a reputable health science training institution in the region and meet international standards.
