On July 7, 2026, Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the results of talent recruitment for 2026.
In 2026, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will continue to maintain the stability of 3 university admission methods, in which the talent admission method (XTTN) includes 3 areas: Direct admission of excellent students according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (students who won national and international prizes) (area 1. 1); Admission based on international certificates (SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, IB... ) (area 1. 2) and admission based on capacity profiles combined with interviews (students who won provincial prizes, specialized system... ) (area 1. 3).

At the end of the XTTN registration period on May 31, 2026, the system recorded a total of 4,347 registered candidates, of which area 1. 1 had 502 applications, area 1. 2 had 1,751 applications and area 1. 3 had 2,094 applications. Accordingly, areas 1. 1 and 1. 2 increased slightly, while area 1. 3 decreased compared to 2025.
The reason is that this year, in the component of calculating admission scores for the 1.3 category, candidates are required to have TSA thinking assessment exam scores instead of school transcript scores as in previous years.
After completing the steps in the XTTN process, 436 candidates in the 1.1 category were directly admitted to 46/68 training programs of Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Among them, there were 5 international prize winners, 41 first prize winners, 163 second prize winners and 193 third prize winners of the national excellent student exam. The XTTN scores of more than 3,600 candidates in the 1.2 and 1.3 categories have also been sent to registration accounts on the system.
Some key indicators of XTTN scores for grades 1.2 and 1.3 in 2026 are as follows: 53 candidates achieved a maximum score of 100/100 points, 145 candidates achieved 90/100 points, the lowest is 55 points, the average score is 80.95 points and the median score is 83 points.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology has also announced a plan to convert admission scores between the school's admission methods.
Candidates can refer to the calculation method of converting admission scores between XTTN score, TSA score and high school graduation exam score at: https://tsbkhn. shinyapps. io/QuyDoi-2026BK
Candidates with admission scores 1.2 and 1.3 who want to be admitted to Hanoi University of Science and Technology must register their admission aspirations (NV) on the virtual filtering system of the Ministry of Education and Training at (https://thisinh. thitotnghiepthpt. edu. vn) from July 2-14, 2026, with a number of 15 NV.
This also increases the opportunity for XTTN candidates to register for admission to more majors at Hanoi University of Science and Technology with the same XTTN score.
