Hanoi National University of Education has just announced the list of 38 higher education institutions using the results of the SPT competency assessment exam for enrollment in 2026.
This list increases by 13 schools compared to last year, including many technical and medical schools, instead of just teacher training schools as in previous years.
In the medical and pharmaceutical block, three schools using SPT results for admission this year are Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Tokyo Medical University and Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy. In which, Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy has considered from previous years, the remaining 2 schools this year are for the first time.
For the technical - technology block, the Academy of Cryptography Techniques, the University of Transport Technology, the East Asia University of Technology,... will only consider SPT scores this year.

The competency assessment exam was first organized by Hanoi National University of Education in 2022.
This year, the SPT exam is organized in two phases, on February 23-24 and May 30-31. Expected exam locations are Hanoi, Son La, Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Da Nang, Gia Lai.
Candidates register to take 3-7 subjects among subjects: Math, Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Informatics, Technology, Economic and Legal Education. The exam fee for each subject is 250,000 VND.
Exam scores will be announced before June 15.
