On the morning of June 1st, more than 151,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City entered the Literature exam - the first exam of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year.
The exam time is 120 minutes, from 8 am to 10 am.
The official exam questions and reference answers will be updated by Lao Dong immediately after candidates finish the exam.
Candidates take exams in three subjects: Literature, Mathematics and English. Those who register for specialized or integrated classes will take additional specialized or integrated subjects accordingly. In which, on the morning of June 1, candidates take the Literature exam in 120 minutes.
The admission score is the total score of 3 exam papers along with priority and encouragement points if any. The condition for admission is that candidates must participate in all exam papers according to regulations and no exam papers are scored 0.
From June 3rd to June 9th, the Department will organize exam marking, summarize exam marking work and compare exam results. After this period, the Department will announce exam scores, benchmark scores and supplementary recruitment plans (if any).
The supplementary admission category only applies to students who have participated in the public 10th grade entrance exam but have not been admitted to the registered aspirations.
This year, the city enrolls about 118,500 students in grade 10, equivalent to about 78% of candidates taking the exam with a chance of passing.
The exam is organized at 242 exam sites, including 226 regular exam sites and 16 specialized exam sites, with a total of 6,443 exam rooms. The city's education sector mobilized more than 17,700 teachers, staff and officials to participate in exam supervision and service.
