According to the announcement of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the format of the Math exam for the 10th grade entrance exam according to the 2018 General Education Program will include 5 papers, in the form of an essay, with a time of 120 minutes.


Although it includes 5 questions, the Math exam for the Hanoi 10th grade entrance exam will be centred on 3 knowledge sources, including: Number and Big numbers; Grammatics and Measurement; Statistics and Probability.
With that design, this year's Math exam for grade 10 in Hanoi aims to assess 3 parts of candidates' abilities including: Mathematical Thinking and fundamentation (accounting for 3 points); Mathematical problem solving (accounting for 4.5 points); Mathematical modeling (accounting for 2.5 points). The total maximum score for this entire essay is 10 points.
After the first day of the exam with 2 subjects of Literature and Foreign Language, many teachers who evaluated the 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi this year have had positive changes compared to previous years.
The Van subject is considered approachable, suggesting students' thinking and creativity. Meanwhile, the English exam is said to still ensure differentiation but limit candidates from "learning - using tips".
Therefore, it is likely that the Math exam will also promise to have notable new points.
According to the report of the Department of Education and Training on the organization of the foreign language exam for the 10th grade entrance exam in 2025, taking place on the afternoon of 7.6, the number of candidates is 102,434 of 102,860 candidates registered, reaching 99.59%. There are 426 contestants away.
At the Literature exam on the morning of June 7, no candidate was recorded violating the exam regulations.
In the Foreign Language exam on the afternoon of June 7, only one candidate violated the exam regulations with the reason of bringing a phone into the exam room.
