The structure of the 2026 high school graduation exam is kept stable
According to the latest information from the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2026 high school graduation exam continues to be built in the direction of testing learners' abilities and qualities.
Notably, the exam questions will include questions requiring candidates to apply knowledge to solve practical problems, ensuring differentiation similar to the 2025 exam.

The exam still maintains the following differentiation rate: The level of thinking is 40% recognition level, 30% understanding level and 30% application level, strengthening connection, applying knowledge and skills to reality, especially in differentiated contents, in order to correctly assess students' abilities.
In the 17 high school graduation exam subjects, in addition to 2 compulsory subjects, Math and Literature, candidates are allowed to choose two of the subjects of the general education program, including: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Literature, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Informatics, Technology and Foreign Languages (English, German, Russian, Japanese, French, Chinese, Korean).
There is only a Literature exam in essay form. The remaining subjects are multiple-choice questions to find the correct answer, correct/wrong answer and short answers. Short answer questions will help differentiate better because candidates find it difficult to guess randomly.
The exam content is within the high school program, mainly in grade 12 and there are some questions belonging to grade 10 and 11 knowledge.
