In recent days, many parents with children studying at Hoa Binh Kindergarten (Van Lang commune, Thai Nguyen province) have been upset about abnormal signs of food cooked for students.
Mr. Truong Van Quang (Trung Thanh hamlet, Van Lang commune) said that the incident originated on March 25.

That day the locality lost power, the school had to bring meat out to grind to cook for students.
When taking the meat out to grind, parents saw that it was abnormally yellow. This meat must have a problem, everyone is worried and upset," Mr. Quang said.
Also according to Mr. Quang, from March 25th to now, parents are very confused. The children are still very young, so if food is not guaranteed, it will be very dangerous. We hope that functional agencies will intervene to clarify the matter and help parents feel secure.
Sharing the same frustration, Ms. Vu Thi Nguyen (Dong Cau hamlet, Van Lang commune) said: My grandson is in 5th grade at Hoa Binh Kindergarten.

The piece of meat looks abnormal, parents are all very upset. My child has been absent from school for many days today because the incident has not been resolved definitively.
Only when the school has a legitimate answer will students be allowed to return to school. Food that is not guaranteed will greatly affect their children," Ms. Nguyen said.
On April 1, information from Van Lang Commune People's Committee, immediately after receiving information, local authorities conducted inspections, directed the sealing of related food; and at the same time took samples to send to the Provincial Testing Center to transfer to Hanoi for food safety testing according to the correct procedure.
The locality has established an inspection team, inviting departments and branches of the province to participate in inspecting the school's kitchen. Initial results show that food safety criteria at the kitchen are all ensured according to regulations.
