In 2026, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Thai Nguyen University) will conduct admissions according to 6 methods:
- Method 1: Consider high school graduation exam results (code 100)
- Method 2: Direct admission according to the regulations of the Enrollment Regulations
- Method 3: Examining high school academic results (gradebook) (code 200)
- Method 4: Admission consideration using the results of the competency assessment test (HSA) organized by Vietnam National University, Hanoi (code 402)
- Method 5: Admission consideration using the results of the computer-based university entrance assessment exam (V-SAT) of educational institutions (code 417)
- Method 6: Other method (code 500)

For the method of considering high school transcript scores, the school notes the following admission conditions:
Candidates who fully meet the following conditions:
- Enrollment in Medicine, Dentistry - Maxillofacial, Pharmacy: average general academic results are assessed as good (academic ability ranked from excellent or higher) for the whole 12th grade year (academic results of 02 semesters of the final year for vocational secondary school and equivalent subjects) and the total score of 03 high school graduation exam subjects according to the admission combination (or using the scores of Math, Literature and another exam subject) reaching 20.00 points or higher or the high school graduation consideration score (high school graduation exam score) from 8.50 points or higher on a scale of 10 points;
- Applying for Nursing, Preventive Medicine, Obstetrics, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Rehabilitation Technology majors: average general academic results assessed as good (academic ability ranked from good or higher) for the whole 12th grade year (academic results of 02 semesters of the final year for vocational secondary school and equivalents) and total score of 03 high school graduation exam subjects reaching 16.50 points or higher or high school graduation consideration score (vocational secondary school) from 6.50 points or higher on a scale of 10 points;
- Have sufficient health to study according to regulations (disabled candidates can contact the University for advice on choosing a suitable major);
- Have complete application documents as prescribed;
- Pay sufficient admission fees as prescribed.
