In 2026, 8 People's Police academies and schools have 1,870 regular university targets for new training at the school. If adding 200 cooperation targets, sending training at non-core institutions, the total scale is 2,070, a decrease of 280 compared to 2025.
The People's Security Academy and the People's Police Academy both have 400 training quotas at the school. Next is the People's Police University with 300; the People's Security University 220; the Academy of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue, the Academy of Engineering and Technology of Security also take 200 quotas; the People's Police Political Academy has a quota of 100 and the International Academy: 50.
Police schools use three enrollment methods, including direct admission; considering combining international foreign language certificates with the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam; and considering combining high school graduation exam scores with this exam.
This year's assessment exam of the Ministry of Public Security takes place on June 21, in the form of a written exam in 180 minutes. Candidates choose one of the four codes CA1-CA4. All four codes have essays in Literature, compulsory multiple choices in Mathematics, History, English and one elective subject in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Geography.
Last year, the benchmark scores of 8 Police schools using the combined high school graduation exam scores and the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test ranged from 15.95 to 26.28 points.
