On July 4, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Dinh Tung, Vice Rector of Hanoi Medical University, shared the above information.
Mr. Tung predicts that the school's benchmark score this year may increase based on two reasons: The number of candidates taking the B00 combination exam has increased and the number of candidates achieving 15 points or more is also higher than last year.
Analyzing specifically, Mr. Tung said that there are about 47,200 candidates participating in admission in the B00 combination (Math, Chemistry, Biology) - the main admission combination of the medical and pharmaceutical sector, an increase of more than 2,200 compared to last year.
Among them, there are about 839 candidates achieving 28 points or higher and 505 candidates achieving 28.5 points or higher.
In addition, the average score of the B00 combination in this year's high school graduation exam reached 19.69, an increase of 1.4 points compared to last year. The median score reached 19.95, higher than 1.95 points, while the shape of the basic score distribution is similar to 2024.
According to Mr. Tung, the recruitment source of schools in health sectors has also increased. In which, in block B00, the number of candidates reaching the threshold of 24 - 26 points is about 30% higher than last year. The number of candidates reaching 28 points or more is also 44 - 95% higher, depending on the score level.
Meanwhile, the score distribution is similar to 2024. Therefore, basically, Mr. Tung predicts that this year's benchmark score will be closer to the 2024 benchmark score than in 2025.
Score levels may increase from 0.5 to 1.4 points (for majors using the B00 combination as the original combination) compared to last year, depending on the major. Accordingly, the increase for combinations A00 and D01 will be slightly lighter than the B00 combination" - Mr. Tung said.
According to the plan, before July 8, the Ministry of Education and Training will meet to finalize the input quality assurance threshold (floor score for receiving applications) for training majors in the health sector.
Mr. Tung said that by July 10, Hanoi Medical University will announce the floor score based on the score threshold determined by the Ministry of Education and Training.
In 2026, Hanoi Medical University will enroll 2,150 students, an increase compared to last year.
The school's admission methods this year include: Direct admission, High school graduation exam scores, Aptitude assessment exam scores of Hanoi National University of Education.
This is also the first year this school has considered admission based on the competency assessment exam scores of Hanoi National University of Education, but it is only applied to the majors of Nursing, Midwifery, Dental Orthopedics, Medical Laboratory Technology, Rehabilitation Technology, Ophthalmology, Nutrition, Public Health, Psychology, Social Work.
The school applies 6 admission combinations, including: A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), D07 (Math, Chemistry, English), D01 (Math, Literature, English), D10 (Math, Geography, English).
The school adds bonus points for candidates with international certificates from 0.75-1.5 points, with IELTS from 5.5.
Regarding tuition fees, Hanoi Medical University is expected to fluctuate from 19.1-80 million VND, an increase of 2.2-17.8 million VND compared to last year. Among them, the Faculty of Odonto-Stomatology has the highest tuition fee.
