According to Decision No. 2967 of the Provincial People's Committee, Dien Bien College is a public non-business unit directly under the Provincial People's Committee, established after implementing the arrangement and organization of the apparatus, and is granted financial autonomy.
Accordingly, schools are classified as public non-business units that self-ensure a part of regular expenses (group 3 units). The level of self-ensurement of regular expenses is 51%.
The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Principal of Dien Bien College to be responsible for proactively implementing the construction and organization of internal spending regulations, regulations on management and use of public assets,... ensuring compliance with regulations.
Previously, in Decision 2146/QD-BGDDT, dated July 25, 2025, of the Ministry of Education and Training, it was decided to merge the original Vocational College into the College of Economics - Technology and change its name to Dien Bien College, directly under the Provincial People's Committee, from July 25.
Currently, Mr. Tran Ba Uan is the Principal of Dien Bien College. The Vice Principals include: Mr. Doan Thanh Quynh; Ms. Bui Thi Thu Hien; Mr. Hoang Thanh Nghi.
