For example, the average score for Math in 2025 is 4.78 points, 1.67 points lower than last year, the average score for Chemistry in 2025 is 6.06 points, 0.62 points lower than in 2024, the average score for Geography this year is 6.63 points, 0.56 points lower than in 2024...
"Based on the data on the general scores of this year's graduation exam, it can be predicted that the admission standard scores for this year's university entrance exam will tend to decrease slightly by 0.5 - 1.5 points depending on the major and school, in which the combination of subjects C00 (Literature, History, Geography) will have an advantage in admission" - Mr. Nguyen said.
According to Mr. Nguyen, this year there are many new points in the admission registration on the general system of the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates only need to register the major name, major code, school name, university code, and will convert all admission methods to the same scale of 30, universities using many admission subject combinations.

Many universities have begun to announce admission floor scores
From 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training will officially eliminate early admission in university admissions and all must follow the general admission process on the Ministry's system.
After knowing the high school graduation exam scores in 2025 (from 8:00 a.m. on July 16), candidates can start registering and adjusting their admission wishes (unlimited number of times) between July 16 and 5:00 p.m. on July 28.
After completing the registration of wishes, candidates need to pay the admission fee according to the number of registered wishes. The fee payment time starts from July 29 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on August 5.
After having graduation exam scores, universities began to announce thresholds to ensure input quality (landing point).
For the pedagogical and health science majors, the floor score was announced before 5:00 p.m. on July 23.
