From September 11 to 16, FPT Da Nang Primary & Secondary School directly hosts the Global Round of the World Scholar's Cup (WSC) 2026 international academic program. This year, Da Nang is honored to be 1 of 8 cities in the world selected to organize this event, sharing the list with major cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Prague, Seoul, Shanghai, Bangkok, Dubai and Christchurch.
Initiated in 2006, the World Scholar's Cup is a large-scale academic playground for high school students, gathering contestants from more than 65 countries and territories. With the theme "Are We There Yet?", WSC 2026 encourages students to explore many fields, frankly ask questions about their future journey, and at the same time offer personal perspectives and dialogue with different perspectives. Therefore, this year, nearly 1,000 students from 16 countries gathered in Da Nang to compete at the WSC 2026 Global Round.
At this competition, students from 3 groups Super Junior, Junior and Senior directly tried their hand at 4 core contents: Scholar's Challenge, Scholar's Bowl, Team Debate and Collaborative Writing.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Ngan - Deputy Director of FPT General Education System, Director of FPT Da Nang Primary & Secondary School Division shared: "Da Nang being chosen for the first time as the venue for the Global Round WSC is a remarkable milestone for the city and a special opportunity for FPT Schools. The event is not only viewed from the perspective of an academic playground, but also a practical learning environment. When students from many countries enter the school together, debate and share culture, they have the opportunity to learn from each other in a very natural way.
In addition to the tense competition hours, Global Round 2026 also brings a series of rich cultural exchange activities such as: Cultural Fair, Scholar's Ball, Evening and Exchange (Scholar's Social & Dinner). In particular, the "Scavenger Hunt" activity at Ba Na Hills Tourist Area has left many deep impressions, helping international friends fully experience the scenery and local culture.
Closing the Global Round in Da Nang, the Organizing Committee awarded a total of 280 cups, 2,500 Gold Medals and 2,000 Silver Medals to individuals and teammates who achieved excellent results. The best teams will continue to enter the "Tournament of Champions" held at Yale University (USA) in November 2026.
This event not only contributes to improving the integration capacity of students but also affirms the position of Da Nang - a city not only strong in tourism but also capable of organizing and connecting educational events of global stature.
