On the morning of November 16, in Ia Nan commune, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Inter-level Boarding School for Primary and Secondary Schools in 7 border communes of the province.
In Gia Lai, 7 border communes including Ia Mo, Ia Puch, Ia Pon, Ia Nan, Ia Dom, Ia Chia, Ia O have built 7 Boarding Schools for Primary and Secondary Schools with a total investment of more than 1,516 billion VND, with a scale of 212 classes with about 7,420 students.
The project is implemented according to Conclusion Notice No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 298/NQ-CP dated September 26, 2025 of the Government on investment in school construction in border communes.
The schools are built synchronously, including study areas, boarding areas, dining houses, teacher accommodation areas and modern and friendly technical infrastructure systems. Thereby fully meeting the requirements for teaching and boarding activities for ethnic minority students in border areas.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung emphasized: The construction of inter-level boarding schools in border communes is a humane policy, with long-term strategic significance, contributing to improving the quality of education in remote areas, ethnic minority areas.
Thereby contributing to strengthening national defense and security, building a solid "people's heart posture". The Deputy Prime Minister requested Gia Lai province to direct strongly so that the project can be constructed on schedule, ensuring quality and safety.
At the same time, the functional sector has prepared a team of teachers, managers, and operating plans so that the school can soon become a "home of knowledge - a place to nurture the future for children in border areas".
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan presented gifts to policy households, students and teachers in difficult circumstances in 7 border communes.
