On the morning of June 12, the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province said that the exam council had discovered and handled one more case of violation of regulations in the 2026 high school graduation exam.
Accordingly, at the exam site of Nguyen Truong To High School No. 2 (Ia Nan commune), during the Physics exam, a male candidate brought a phone into the exam room. When using a phone to take photos of the exam questions, the candidate was discovered by the invigilator and recorded for handling.
The exam council then suspended the exam for this candidate according to regulations. Through working, the candidate admitted to intending to upload the exam questions to the ChatGPT application to find answers.
According to the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Education and Training, in the morning of June 12, the elective subject exam, the first subject had 37,390 registered candidates, of which 37,260 candidates participated, 130 absent; the second subject had 37,184 registered candidates, 120 absent.
Previously, during the Literature exam session on the morning of June 11, Gia Lai also recorded a case of violating exam regulations related to the use of telephones.
According to initial information, this candidate showed signs of unstable psychology and did not do the test throughout the exam. Just a few minutes before the end of the time, the candidate asked to go outside with the reason of going to the toilet to get the phone he had hidden before.
When returning to the exam room, noticing unusual signs, the invigilator proceeded to check and discovered that the phone was kept in the candidate's pants pocket. The exam council made a record of violation and suspended the exam according to regulations.
