On the morning of June 11, the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province said that Literature - the first exam subject of the 2026 high school graduation exam - had 37,669 candidates taking the exam, with 116 absent candidates.
Among the 116 absent candidates, there are 73 high school students (of which 48 were exempted from the exam, 2 were sick, 23 did not take the exam) and 43 free candidates did not take the exam.
The atmosphere at the exam sites in the province was serious and orderly. However, at exam site No. 74 - Tran Quoc Tuan High School (western area of the province), the invigilator discovered a candidate of the school violating the exam regulations.
Accordingly, at about 9:25 am, the candidate asked for permission to go to the toilet, then returned to the exam room and brought his phone to put in his pants pocket. Recognizing unusual signs, the invigilator checked and discovered that the candidate was carrying a phone. The exam council made a record, and at the same time collected the papers and handled them according to exam regulations.
In the same morning, at the Hoai An High School exam site (Hoai An commune), traffic police promptly used specialized vehicles to pick up a free candidate to the exam site right before the gate closed.
The candidate supported is T.Y. V (born 2004), registered to take the exam as a freelance candidate.
Through exchange, candidate V. expressed hesitation and did not want to continue taking the exam. However, not letting him miss an important opportunity, the traffic police force used specialized vehicles to go to his house to encourage and take him to the exam site.
The 2026 high school graduation exam in Gia Lai is organized at 91 exam sites with 1,652 exam rooms. During the procedure session on the afternoon of June 10, 423 candidates were absent, of which 3 are being treated at the hospital.
