According to Hoa Binh School Equipment and Book Joint Stock Company, the price of textbooks this year has decreased by 10 - 15% compared to last year, according to the ceiling price prescribed by the Ministry of Finance.
Ms. Trinh Thi Thu Huong, manager of the company's Supermarket for books - stationery, school equipment, said: "In general, the price of textbooks this year has decreased compared to last year. Depending on each set of books, the price of each book will decrease from at least a few hundred VND to the highest of 5,000 VND/book".
Ms. Huong added that the supermarket had previously launched a 10% discount program for all products until July 25 to stimulate consumption, welcoming the new school year.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Tien, a parent, shared: Near the end of the school year, I registered to buy textbooks through school for my children to avoid fake books. In the previous school year, both textbooks and supplementary books cost over 600,000 VND, this year the book for grade 8 costs over 456,000 VND.

Book prices have decreased, making it a little easier for us parents to breathe, because there are many costs for the school year to worry about. In addition to textbooks, school supplies are also imported in large quantities, with diverse designs, and prices not much fluctuation compared to last year. plays of all kinds by Hong Ha, Hai Tien, campus brands have prices ranging from 9,000 - 25,000 VND/shaped depending on the type and number of pages; pencils are priced from 17,000 - 70,000 VND/piece; ballpoint pens and pencils of Thien Long, Hong Ha are sold for 3,000 - 10,000 VND/piece.
The pair of books and backpacks with durable, beautiful, and anti-lock materials of Vietnamese brands are imported in large quantities at markets, supermarket systems, bookstores, and stores. The price is affordable, suitable for the economy of many families during the "price storm", averaging from 200,000 - over 300,000 VND/product.
