The 9th grade gifted student exam in Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi took place on October 29. Immediately after the exam ended, information spread on social networks that the gifted student exam questions for Hai Ba Trung district were the same as the review questions for students of Trung Vuong Secondary School (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi) and students of Dong Da district.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tam - Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Hai Ba Trung district said that immediately upon receiving the feedback, the Department of Education and Training summoned responsible members to check and verify.
“The review results show that the implementation process and stages in organizing the exam, including the Math exam, were all carried out systematically and in accordance with regulations, with no leaking or leaking of exam questions. No individual was found to have leaked information during the exam preparation stages,” said Mr. Tam.
Regarding the exam image circulating on social networks, the Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Hai Ba Trung District confirmed that he had contacted Trung Vuong Secondary School to find out information and at the same time grasp the opinions of parents and students.
"Trung Vuong Secondary School confirms that there is no such exam. Up to now, we have not received any feedback from parents or students," said Mr. Tam.
Sharing more about the implementation and preparation process for the district-level excellent student exam, Mr. Tam said that all members participating in the tasks of the Committees were established and assigned tasks by the Head of the District Education and Training Department. The members of the committees committed to take responsibility for the accuracy and confidentiality of the exam.
The teachers invited to create math questions are teachers from other districts and do not directly teach review in Hai Ba Trung district. In addition to creating questions, the teachers also support the Department of Education and Training in building review programs when forming district teams to compete at the city level. This is a method that the Department of Education and Training has implemented for many years.
"The teachers selected to create the exam questions will sign a contract to create the questions, commit to follow the regulations, ensure the transparency, scientific nature of the exam questions, and the confidentiality of the exam questions" - Mr. Tam informed and said.
To ensure objectivity, fairness and seriousness for the exam, the Hai Ba Trung District Department of Education and Training will continue to grasp information and verify the incident; at the same time, strengthen inspection and supervision of the exam marking process.
In case of discovering a problem, the Department of Education and Training of Hai Ba Trung district will ask for instructions and strictly handle it according to regulations on the basis of ensuring the best interests and fairness for students," said Mr. Tam.
According to the plan, the results of the 9th grade excellent student exam in Hai Ba Trung district are expected to be announced on November 11, 2024.
