Focusing on studying
The sprint stage before the 2026 high school graduation exam is causing 12th grade students to enter a real race with themselves. Every day that passes is calculated by the number of questions done, the number of errors corrected and each improved score. This is not only the time to accelerate, but also the time when students define the road ahead most clearly.
For Nguyen Thi Minh Thu - a 12th grade student at Luong The Vinh Secondary & High School (Hanoi), the changes in this year's exam have become motivation. According to the female student, early knowing the limitations in admission helps students proactively identify strengths, thereby choosing suitable majors and schools. The early exam schedule also makes the study plan clearer and more drastic.
“I focus on admission subjects, try to find errors in each type of test to maximize scores” - Thu shared. In addition, I also prepare foreign language certificates, participate in competency assessment exams or excellent student achievements to increase my chances of being admitted to university.
At a different learning pace but with the same pressure, Ha Thi Thu Thuy - a 12th grade student at Dong Son 2 High School (Thanh Hoa) set a goal to enter the National Economics University. To get closer to the lecture hall, the female student almost devoted all her time to studying.
“I redo the types of problems that are often wrong, practice exam questions every day to improve my scores. The pressure is great, but I try to keep my spirit stable and arrange my time reasonably. My goal is to raise the score of each subject by 0.5 - 1 point compared to the mock exams, a small gap but enough to change my chances of getting into university,” the female student shared.
In that hurried pace, each student is finding for themselves a suitable way to reach the finish line. Whether it is to tighten academic discipline, optimize each score or expand admission opportunities, all are aiming for a common goal of entering the exam with confidence and getting closer to the door of the future.

Important advice
In the sprint of the 12th grade school year, besides the pressure of exam preparation, students also have to face a series of important choices for the future. According to Dr. Nguyen Phi Long - Head of the Training Department, Vietnam Women's Academy, this is the time for them to both focus on completing the program and actively learn about enrollment information fully and strategically.
Dr. Long believes that students not only review to get high scores but also need to carefully study admission methods, subject combinations, majors and bonus points of each school. Understanding these factors will help them make appropriate choices and increase their chances of admission. In addition, labor market trends are also an important factor to consider, in order to avoid the situation of choosing majors based on feelings or running after "trends".
In particular, the most important thing is still to understand yourself. Students need to listen to themselves, clearly identify interests, strengths and the level of suitability for each profession. When personal criteria have been outlined, choosing schools and majors will become clearer and more oriented.
The most important thing is that you know what you really want, how much you desire. When there is a clear goal, the decisions behind will be more solid" - Dr. Nguyen Phi Long emphasized.
