Proposal for arrangement of universities in September
The Ministry of Education and Training is completing a project to arrange higher education and vocational education institutions, and is expected to propose a plan to be implemented in September 2026.

Minister Hoang Minh Son said that the recent Central Conference has issued very specific policies. The Politburo has concluded and the Government has issued an Action Program, assigning the Ministry of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches, and localities to organize the arrangement of vocational education institutions and higher education institutions. The time is also very specific. Vocational education institutions will be streamlined, reducing at least 30% of focal points and transferring management to localities.
