Ministry of Education and Training requires preschool teachers to have digital and foreign language skills
The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has just issued Circular No. 28/2026/TT-BGDDT regulating professional standards for preschool teachers (Circular No. 28). The Circular takes effect from the date of signing (April 9, 2026).

According to Circular No. 28, preschool teacher professional standards are designed according to 3 groups of standards including: Professional ethics, training level, fostering and professional and nghiệp vụ competence. In which, ethics requirements emphasize love for the profession, fair treatment, respect for children, protection of children's rights, emotional management, solidarity, cooperation and help for colleagues.
The Circular details the core competencies of preschool teachers such as nurturing, caring for, ensuring safety for children; building and organizing educational activities; assessing children's development; building an educational environment; communication, coordination with family and community.
Along with that, the first professional standard clearly stipulates a number of new competencies such as digital competence, foreign language competence, self-learning competence and career development. See more...

Another school in Ho Chi Minh City temporarily suspends semi-boarding
Thanh Da Secondary School (Binh Quoi ward) has just issued a notice to parents about the temporary suspension of semi-boarding activities from April 13.
According to the announcement, the school said that the suspension is to ensure absolute safety for students during the end-of-term II exam. Boarding activities will be restored when there are inspection results and official conclusion documents from functional agencies for the meal provider.

During this time, students still go to school normally according to the schedule, without changes in content or class hours. The school only stops serving semi-boarding lunch; parents are requested to proactively pick up and drop off their children or prepare lunch for students.

Recall of grade 3 textbooks containing unsafe links in Hue
On April 13, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Huy - Chief of Office of Hue University said that Hue University Publishing House has synchronously implemented many solutions to overcome the incident related to the book "Class 3 Informatics Work Sheet" containing unsafe links.

The Publishing House has issued a decision to recall this publication according to legal regulations, and at the same time requested the linked unit to stop publishing from April 9. Relevant parties are reviewing, statistically analyzing and coordinating with the publishing system to recall all books that have been put on the market, ensuring serious and thorough implementation.
For educational institutions, the Publishing House recommends immediately stopping accessing the link printed in the book, temporarily stopping the use of related content in teaching and learning. At the same time, it is requested that schools proactively inform teachers, students and parents to ensure information security.
The publishing house and the affiliated unit also developed a plan to recall, exchange, return or refund money to book buyers, ensuring the legitimate rights of customers and distributors. See more...
