Ho Chi Minh City - Regarding the suspected food poisoning case at Binh Quoi Tay Primary School, Thanh Da Secondary School has just announced the temporary suspension of semi-boarding meals.

Thanh Da Secondary School (Binh Quoi ward) has just issued a notice to parents about the temporary suspension of semi-boarding activities from April 13.

According to the announcement, the school said that the suspension is to ensure absolute safety for students during the end-of-term II exam. Boarding activities will be restored when there are inspection results and official conclusion documents from functional agencies for the meal provider.

During this time, students still go to school normally according to the schedule, without changes in content or class hours. The school only stops serving semi-boarding lunch; parents are requested to proactively pick up and drop off their children or prepare lunch for students.

Although not organizing semi-boarding meals, the school still opens semi-boarding rooms for students to have lunch breaks at school if their families have not had time to pick them up.

The school also said that it will finalize and refund meal money, service money and semi-boarding management during the temporary suspension days.

Previously, on the morning of April 8, many students of Binh Quoi Tay Primary School (Binh Quoi ward) showed symptoms such as vomiting, abdominal pain and had to be hospitalized for monitoring.

The incident worried parents. Binh Quoi Tay Primary School has temporarily stopped organizing semi-boarding from April 9 to coordinate with functional agencies to inspect and clarify the cause.
