Students struggle to find new classes when tightening extra classes
Circular 29/2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training, effective from February 14, stipulates that extra classes can only be organized in schools for three groups of disadvantaged students, excellent students and final year students without charging fees. In addition to schools, teachers are not allowed to teach extra classes with fees for regular students, teachers of public schools are not allowed to manage extra classes, and individuals and organizations that teach extra classes must register for business.
Due to the new regulations, many traditional extra classes have to stop operating, forcing students to find new classes in centers with business registration. Some students are still waiting for the old class to reopen, while many students, especially senior students, have quickly switched to new classes. Teachers wonder how to calculate bonuses according to Decree 73
Mr. Huynh Tan Khoa sent a question to the Government Electronic Information Portal about the application of task performance results in the 2023-2024 school year to reward according to Decree No. 73/2024/ND-CP. The Ministry of Home Affairs explains that the Decree stipulates the bonus regime based on outstanding work achievements and the results of assessment and classification of the annual task completion level, in Article 4, Clause 1.

The Ministry of Home Affairs also pointed out that the head of the agency is responsible for developing specific regulations to implement the bonus regime, according to Clause 2, Article 4. The competent authority managing cadres, civil servants and public employees must implement this policy.

New points in the 2025 pedagogical capacity assessment test
Major pedagogical universities across the country have announced the structure and content of the 2025 competency assessment test with many new points. Hanoi National University of Education 2 organizes an exam with 8 subjects, in which Literature is a combination of multiple-choice and essay questions, the rest are multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes. Hanoi National University of Education also changed the exam questions, added subjects from 2026 and organized exams at many locations across the country.
Hanoi National University of Education announced the exam questions in line with the 2018 General Education Program, combining multiple-choice and essay questions to assess thinking ability and solve problems. The exam will take place at 4 locations across the country, and the results will be announced before June 15, 2025.

In the South, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education changed the structure of 5/6 subjects in the competency assessment exam, in which the subjects of KHTN reduced the number of questions, Literature added the section and the exam, English kept the same structure. After 6 years of suspension, three military schools simultaneously enroll civil servants
The Ministry of National Defense has just issued Decision No. 491/QD-BQP on assigning the task of training the civil system to a number of military educational institutions. The schools admitted include the Military Technical Academy, the Military University of Culture and Arts and the Logistics Academy.
The Military Technical Academy recruits 755 students, including doctors, masters and universities in majors such as Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, etc. The Military University of Culture and Arts trains from intermediate level to master's degree in the majors of Cultural Management, Performing Arts, and Journalism.
