Deploying boarding meals for students, Hanoi requires " say no to dirty food"
The leader of the Hanoi People's Committee requested the synchronous implementation of the organization of boarding meals and food control around schools in the 2025 - 2026 school year. The Department of Education and Training coordinates with the Department of Finance to advise on the issuance of a mechanism to support boarding meals for primary school students, while reviewing beneficiaries and guiding public schools to manage educational support service revenue and expenditure.
The Department of Health is assigned to take the lead in developing criteria for evaluating food, ingredients, and beverage suppliers and submit a report before July 14, 2025. On that basis, localities will select suitable suppliers; at the same time, conduct periodic or surprise inspections to ensure food safety. The Department of Education must also complete the assessment of facilities and propose funding needs to organize standard boarding meals.
The City People's Committee requested to strictly control the situation of unsafe food around schools. The Department of Health coordinates with units to develop a plan to completely handle the problem of street vending. The police and local authorities have increased inspection and strictly handled violations such as illegal occupation of sidewalks and roads, contributing to creating a safe and healthy school environment. Coming to the high school graduation exam on computers from 2027
The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Education and Training to build a bank for large, quality exams and deploy the High School Graduation Exam Project on computers from 2027, aiming to apply nationwide after 2030. The new exam format is similar to the competency assessment exam: each candidate has a separate exam, done directly on a computer and knows the score immediately after submitting the exam. This helps increase transparency, limit fraud and improve the effectiveness of exam organization.

Many schools in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have gradually deployed exams on computers with their own software, creating a premise for mass application. Some principals believe that it is completely feasible if implemented in large cities with satisfactory facilities. Schools also propose a pilot from 2026 in grade 12, combining organizing semesters and multiple-choice tests on computers so that students can get used to the new form.
However, experts warn that it is necessary to carefully prepare infrastructure, testing banks, training testing staff and technology security. Dr. Hoang Ngoc Vinh emphasized the difference between regions and the high risk of technology fraud if not controlled. The success of the exam will depend on professionalism in building exam questions, managing the system and supervising the exam organization. See more...
