The Beechcraft B200 light aircraft crash occurred at around 4:00 p.m. on July 13 (local time). The entire plane crash was recorded in a video and spread rapidly on social media.
According to footage at the scene, the plane seemed out of control just a few seconds after leaving the runway, the crow dropped into a nearby field and exploded fiercely immediately after the collision, causing the fire to spread and forcing the airport fire fighting force and local rescue units to immediately control it.
A witness named John Johnson described the horrifying moment: The plane took off, tilted sharply to the left, then almost reversed, headed the ball into the ground and exploded into a giant hot air balloon.
The authorities have not confirmed the number of people on the plane. However, the rescue team dispatched 4 ambulances, 4 units to respond to the danger zone and a medical helicopter to the scene. Two sports clubs near the area - Rochford Hundred Golf Course and rugby Westcliff Club - have been urgently evacuated.
The plane belongs to Zeusch Aviation (Netherlands), specializing in providing emergency medical services and private charter flights, and is expected to fly to Lelystad (Netherlands). London Southend is a small airport located about 60km from the center of London.
The authorities called on people to stay away from the accident area so that the authorities could complete the rescue work. Local lawmaker David Burton-Sampson wrote on social media: Please stay away from the scene, let the rescue teams work. I pray for all those involved.
The plane crash is being urgently investigated. This is one of the most serious air crashes recorded at London Southend Airport in recent years.
