Ms. Vo Thi Nho is a kindergarten teacher. Currently, Ms. Nho works at the school for 8 hours a day and is on duty at noon, with a regime.
Ms. Nho asked the Ministry of Education and Training: "What is the working time of preschool teachers at the school per day? Is the time to prepare lesson plans and comply with other assignments of the Board of Directors counted as working time? Currently, I have to be in class from 6:30 am to 5 pm.

Regarding Ms. Vo Thi Nho's question, the Ministry of Education and Training answers this issue as follows:
According to the provisions of Clause 1 and Clause 2, Article 4 of Circular No. 48/2011/TT-BGDDT dated October 25, 2011 of the Minister of Education and Training stipulating the working regime for preschool teachers, for teachers teaching children's groups and kindergarten classes studying 2 sessions/day, each teacher directly teaching in the classroom is 6 hours/day; for teachers teaching children's groups and kindergarten classes studying 1 session/day, each teacher directly teaching in the classroom is 4 hours/day.
In addition to direct teaching time in class, preschool teachers also have to perform preparation work for teaching hours, care, education of children and other tasks as assigned by the principal to ensure a total working time of 40 hours/week as prescribed.
Therefore, the time to prepare lesson plans and perform other tasks as assigned has been included in the total working time of preschool teachers, and does not require teachers to directly teach during the entire working time of the day.
