Recently, Mr. Thuan applied for promotion to Secondary School Teacher rank II and was told that he did not have enough time to hold the rank for 9 years. Mr. Thuan asked, is the calculation of his rank time correct?
Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Education and Training said that point d, clause 5, Article 5 of Circular No. 08/2023/TT-BGDĐT dated April 14, 2023 of the Minister of Education and Training promulgating the Circular amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circulars No. 01, 02, 03, 04/2021/TT-BGDĐT dated February 2, 2021 of the Ministry of Education and Training stipulating codes, professional title standards and appointment, salary ranking of teaching staff in public preschool and general education institutions stipulates:
The time holding the old professional title is determined to be equivalent to the time holding the transferred professional title".
Therefore, if Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thuan is transferred by competent authorities from the professional title of secondary school teacher to the professional title of high school teacher, the time you hold the professional title of secondary school teacher is determined to be equivalent to the time you hold the professional title of high school teacher rank III (code V.07. 05. 15) to serve as a basis for registering for consideration for promotion to the professional title of high school teacher rank II (code V.07. 05. 14).
